It means basically I am validating what I lived through instead of screaming out about it, I am being my own parent since my blood parents failed, I am taking some damn action.

In trauma, there is a Frozen memory that cant be integrated into the normal memory flow. Like we cant accept it. That frozen version of yourself living the traumatic episode is like another self, and if trauma happened when you was a child it becomes an "inner" child that is frozen there and cant integrate with yourself.
