If people my age seriously have a problem with that, that is entirely their problem and it's sad. It makes me sad to see how many people my age have lost their joy of living, creativity, and curiosity because they think all that matters at this age is working, having lots of money, being married, and maintaining social status. When they're older they will wish they were happier at this age.

Yeah it is all about conforming to society for some people. But conforming to society doesn't make you happy necessarily.

They also have no idea of the trauma most of us went through in our childhood and don't understand how we deal with that

Curiosity is a mighty motivator to live the way YOU want to. Even curiosity of why others are so judgmental can set you free from their judgements.

That is very aggravating, Luca. I sometimes get talked to like a child just based on my quietness and appearance, I think. Which is annoying, because I figured out at 12 what some of these idiots finally learned at age 45, or whatever. A lot of people in your life sound very annoying.

I’m sorry people treat you like that. I don’t understand how some people can be so mean. At least you know more than they ever will.
A lot of people in my life are extremely annoying, including my parents. Sometimes I feel like seeing them once a week is more than I should be allowing them. But they are not the ones who triggered this post.

You deserve happiness and to "act childlike" (though personally the phrase kinda demeans someone's personality and interests. You're just being fun and enjoying things.) Anyone who tells you what you have to do with your own life a quarter of the way through it is just being rude and controlling.
