It's better than the other way around. :) Maybe you actually have a fungal infection, usually others can't smell that. A simple cheap topical cream from the chemist will clear that up really quick.

I have been using a vaginal cream at the suggestion of a few others here. It doesn't seem like I have an infection but hysterectomies and menopause can obviously throw a lot of things off balance. I've mentioned before that I also have hyperhidrosis and I definitely do stink sometimes and it makes me very upset. I got bullied about it as a kid and they said I lived in a dumpster.

Sometimes people tell me I "smell bad because I'm overweight" which I don't think is necessarily true. I'm not even moderately overweight, I'm just under 200lbs. I do have a fat stomach but I'm in decent overall shape for my weight. I also don't think it's necessarily true that fat people smell bad. I don't know who came up with that.

Comments about fat people usually only come from bigots. Hyperhidrosis does create a more suitable habitat for fungii, I have this problem with my feet. In the tropics men that work in a physical job are more prone to this than women due to sweat. Letting it all air out a bit helps too.

You may have your smelling sense improved. Do you also detect others odor more clearly? Or it is just yours? Do your dogs behave diferently about your odor post surgery? Do they smell you more like they detect some change?

If your odor stayed the same and your smell sense stayed the same, your brain would be the next candidate.

I had to stop using deodorant because I developed a chronical rash in my armpits. I've had this issue for half a year and the sage based one is simply not very effective... I feel you :(
