And, were they interviewing your friend? Isn't that a bit invasive? So, why were they involved and why did you acquiesce to their involvement?

Pretty much, and it feels like too much as I’m a young adult now. I didn’t say anything as I don’t want to make it worse. My dad said he does this as I don’t hang out with friends often and it’s for my safety. I’m already fairly shy and I don’t need it to get worse.

I have seen too many parents infantilize their children under the guise of protection. ! red flag for me.
