Vitamin supplements can look good but you have to be careful, some can block others from being absorbed. It could be that some of the medicines might be having this effect. Well worth reading up on long term/side effects.

I need to convince my doctors to take me off some of my meds, but I don’t know how to make a good case for it because I feel like psychiatrists assume that being unmedicated as a mentally ill person feels euphoric or something. It usually doesn’t, when I’m on zero meds I have uncontrollable panic attacks and don’t sleep. I don’t need NO meds, just less meds.

Getting the right level of medication is always the hard part because every single person will react differently. Might be worth having a look online for alternatives to what you are on and see what you doc thinks.

From what I have heard, PTSD can very much so affect short term memory. I think it might even be one of the diagnostic criteria (though don't take my word for it). I wish you the best.

Stress can cause short term memory problems. Worth reading up about CPTSD as the overlap in behaviours, stimming etc. has a lot in common with autism. 2 therapists have now told me it's more likely I have CPTSD than Autism. I suppose we shall see.

Maybe just keep a notepad with you to jot quick notes to yourself. You can throw it away once you don't that info anymore. I associate things with actions, that helps because l was heavily gaslighted.

You're in a lot of stress, and it comes as no surprise you are having trouble remembering things.

I have that same dementia fear and I don't take any medication at all. My best guess is that PTSD and anxiety have zero bounds, especially for people who pride themselves on having some degree of intellect as their strongest asset.
