This was one of my daycare/boarding dogs, that the owners truly love but were struggling very badly financially and had to move to an apartment complex that doesn't allow certain breeds of dogs (he's a Doberman. I am completely against breed-specific legislation btw, since I have dog breeds that have been labeled "aggressive.")

He has incredible potential to be a show dog, obedience dog, agility dog, dock diving dog, flyball dog, etc and is super intelligent and high-drive so would excel in any number of events. I've been working on training with him for a while, you guys have seen him before. I'm super excited to add him to my team, just received his AKC paperwork! I wasn't expecting him to come home as soon as tonight but here he is!

His ears look like the antennae on little kids' bug costumes

This question has to be asked. With seven dogs where are you going to sleep????
L
Luca
Funny you should ask, they are literally ALL on my bed right now, and I'm on the floor!
I might have to sleep on the couch lol

Luca
Occasionally I just give up and let them have the bed.

Ha! It's bad enough with one dog that keeps rolling and rolling until all bedding is stolen. The dog is lovely and warm in the bedding sausage it has created while the human is cold. The disadvantage is that dog needs help escaping its creation though falling off the bed can sometimes help.

All I can think about right now is bed-dog Tetris. I think you might need more small dogs to fill the gaps between the big dogs to make maximum use of the available bed space.;)

how many dogs are your maximum? and why so many?

I think the limit is how many can be coped with financially. No dog in her care will ever go short of food and hugs though.
