Don't pay the suggested videos any attention. It's Google. This alone is a good reason to ignore everything they suggest! Dog V4 sends you dusty footprints!

That's probably good advice! I use YouTube almost exclusively for music, and occasionally educational/commentary videos, and I still get irrelevant recommendations lol, and a good chunk of them are controversial, weird, or shocking things that I have never searched. I'm not a tech person and have no clue how it works, but I've heard that the YouTube algorithm does this a lot.

Sometimes I do click on things like the one I just mentioned in this status, but I've been recommended things that are a lot worse than that, that I have definitely never typed into Google!
And I also get a lot of weird political ads and religious ads that don't correspond with my beliefs. I'd be interested to know if this happens to other people frequently.

I have no less then 6 add-ons in Firefox to deal with 'irritants'. Adblocker, multiple anti-tracking, script blocker plus a special one which tells a particular aspect of Google to bog off electronically. For those wondering 'Bog off' is a British term to impolitely tell someone to 'go away'.

I use an addon to remove the recommendations.

I completely hided the suggestion bar in youtube lol with adblock (cosmetical) filters. (uBlockOrigin) I only need to activate it, when I listen to a playlist.
