We were running around on a playground at midnight lol. And had a campfire. We’re doing a sleepover next week when I get home from vacation. They are in their early 20s but our maturity level matches.

I am watching Incredible dog on TV. They throw something in the air over a pool, the dog runs and catches it. Elitist, because who has pools to train dogs?

@Aspychata Dock diving :) Something I’ve been hoping to try with my dogs.

some people just want one girl friend, crewluca has several. lol : D

but yeah I know that you meant that platonically. it´s very nice that you met some friends and that they are nice to you and you have fun together. that´s great.

why do you think they are redneck?

"redneck (Amer.) (dictionary)
weißer reaktionärer Hinterwäldler"
white reactionary backwoodsman

The German is more effective a description IMO, in this case. It's hilarious! :)

But compare: Two syllables versus eleven! A word, versus almost pastoral elegy! ;)

Die Sprache der Dichter, @Shaddock!

I wrote a few poems many years ago. I´m not very good in this and only did that to express my emotions, but I like them. but noone here could understand this and I don´t know if I want to show them someone.

I like german as language. I thought about if I should learn even more words from a wordbook, but I´m too lazy for that. I mean like "every word existing in german", but there are every year new words.

Well, I wrote some doomy gloomy stuff in my 20s, it's almost par for the course! :) Great for emotional expression. I think most gloomy-doomy poetry in this world was written by people in their 20s! ;)

Later on you can take up knitting or lawn bowls. Of course you don't have to wait either! ;)

In case you would like a laugh, this always cracks me up...

I mentioned a psychologist said to me in the past "well, I never met a youth saying his favorite book is "Franz Kafka - Der Prozess" lol. I had like 200 literature books (were very cheap), but threw away most because too less space for it. but I still have the best one.

I liked most shakespeare, goethe, schiller and kafka (kafka most). I read maybe 70 books of the 200.

That's so funny! I don't like Kafka, but then I also don't like pineapples. Neither of them agree with me... but we are all different so that's OK!

Love Shakespeare though. And I know a rude German poem about Goethe and Schiller but tree would translate it so I might have to PM it but then you probably already know it because it's a schoolyard poem. It starts, Der Goethe sagt zu Schiller...

I think I don´t know it and I can´t find it : D

Shakespeare - Der Sommernachtstraum was one of my favorites. and MacBeth

You see, Kafka too was in his 20s when he wrote some of his famous stuff, whether the gloomy-doomy Metamorphosis or his codependent, saccharine Letter to Felice...

...and of course, from my perspective I look at that and go, "You embryo, Kafka!" ...which one day you too will be able to do, and you ought to look forward to it! ;)

Brett, by the way, is practicing already for being 70, when he says he will start hitting people with his walking stick and saying in a creaky voice, "You young people today!"
