Will be in a large hall, lots of folk I basically haven't seen since I was 14. My mom wants me to go, but I feel like it's more her family than it is mine. I probably won't attend.

I'd seen him often enough to remember. But something about ASD in youth is like staring back through a thick glass wall. Might as well not have been me back then. Because of that if I have to be honest I don't think I can say I ever even met him.

Wow, that's so interesting about seeing your past through a thick glass wall. I once read a bio about a severely autistic child who ended up coming out of his shell when he got a dog. The mother wrote the bio and the son the afterword, and because this kid was really severely uncommunicative with huge speech delays, it was fascinating to read his afterword!
