I went to a Buddhist meeting once and there was one of the sidekicks of the Dalai Lama present. I was trying to hide at the back of the meeting because I just went out of interest but he ended up heading for me at the end of his talk and giving me a Buddhist name. So much for trying to be inconspicuous!

It's kind of embarrassing. It means Dakini of Highest Wisdom. I've forgotten the actual Tibetan word for it but it's written down on a card somewhere in my files of past stuff...

I was just listening to the talk 20 years ago with hundreds of people there and he cut straight through the crowd after and approached me and said, "You've got light shining out of you." Apparently that's why he had to come see me and give me a Buddhist name. I mean, they were very nice to me, but I wasn't even a Buddhist and it's funny considering I was just trying to be wallpaper.
