That's awesome!
I am hoping that the war ends soon--there's no justification for any country to attack civilians, and Putin has done plenty of that. And there's even Russians scramming out of their own country & headed for Finland. It's a regular mess. Congratulations for doing your bit.

My best irl friend is from Poland and my other closest irl friend is from Ukraine (they both live in the same state as me now and I’ve known both of them for about a decade.) I am more than happy to help them and their people. I love Polish and Ukrainian people.
I hope this is over soon too :(

I can’t volunteer over there either but I figured that this is the least I could do! Wish I could do more :(

I can't join the fighting men (out of shape, no military training, guns barely capable of firing smokeless powder & incompatible with NATO calibers, can't speak Ukranian) but in the battle of Vlads vs Chads I've been wondering about volunteering for the Red Cross. Probably a good way to get shot, considering Russia, but still...

I also don't even have a passport.

Every little bit helps for the war effort. The USA won't be buying Russian oil. FIne. Turn your boilers down & save heat, and don't drive your car if you could walk or cycle. Let's plan our victory gardens and increase domestic production, freeing up more food.

Yes, I agree. Coincidental but I just got my passport renewed lol… was planning on visiting Europe next summer. Hopefully that will still be ok…

The groceries you fix for yourself, other people don't have to compete with you for. We're all 4-F slackers, but land doesn't have to be. Rationing & the victory garden (self-imposed) as well as doing a bit to help the war effort are all good things we can do to alleviate (in some small way) the great cost of human misery.

Visiting Europe sounds great, btw. When the war is over it might be a good idea to go to Ukraine. I hope some of that grit and tenacity is contagious.

I have 100% stopped driving for pleasure, and am moving for good (I hope) on 21 March. "Judgment Day" has certainly taken a new meaning for me! Solar panels and a wind turbine to provide off grid power, heating and cooking with electricity. Only going into Yreka once every other week for supplies, laundry, and snail mail.
