I can walk with a cane and I can sit more-or-less comfortably depending on the chair, so it's getting better. Getting better every day in fact. This is a re-injury from like a year ago; that time I was laid up for 2 months, this time I was able to go right back to work (a sit-down job). Thanks for asking :)

Update because I'm happy and wanna talk about it: the owner of my company presented me with an experimental medical device that supposedly cures back pain. I was skeptical, but after a 30 minute treatment it was like I had never hurt my back in the first place. I feel frickin amazing! Perks of working for engineers I guess :)
