Alaska, which was the last state to keep the law. The late date surprized me!

thanks, I shoulda guessed Alaska. Surprised me too. A lot of families in this area (sw MT) are descended from folks who homesteaded. I find it fascinating.

I was in that area at radar sites in Glendive MT & New England ND. We considered it Remote Duty!
