I consider this to be theft...

In that same school, another different teacher confiscated one of my car magazines for like two or three weeks; I don't remember why she took the magazine, but that particular teacher was my case manager, and she took it during study hall (where it was not against the rules to read magazines as...

    Another middle school story...

Wanted to share it, but didn't know where else to put it... Yes, that particular incident does get to me at times, but it hasn't really bugged me since about 2005.

I consider this to be theft...

Based on his reaction a couple days later, I don't think that was the case...

I consider this to be theft...

Yeah, sometimes I still got treated like I was I was much lower functioning than I actually was, but I was able to avoid the special needs classes.

I consider this to be theft...

Later on, they put it in my IEP that was I allowed to have "fidget" items during class, so it all worked out in the end!

    Another middle school story...

This happened in June 2003, on my very last day of 8th grade. There was this kid named Chris. We had more or less been friends for most of the year, but then we drifted apart and found each other annoying. On a separate note, there had been a few cases of students setting off stink bombs in the...

I consider this to be theft...

I don't park in handicap zones or fire zones. I've gotten two parking tickets in my whole life, and one was paid by my boss because I was on the clock when it happened and she thought it was unfair. Both tickets were received in the same parking lot too. The bar where I used to work shared the...

I consider this to be theft...

My parents bought me the 2001 Guinness Book of World Records for Christmas in 2000. I brought it into school to read one time, and it was very popular with my classmates. In English class, I let my classmates read it, and it got passed around the room. When it was handed back to me, I found that...

I consider this to be theft...

Not really... That was more than 15 years ago. I've never been arrested and have no criminal record. I do believe that certain rules laws infringe on my rights though, but it's okay to voice your disapproval of the law as long as you obey it.

I consider this to be theft...

A modern-day example would be that if my pickup truck ever got towed for being illegally parked, I would report it stolen and take every legal step to make things very unpleasant for the tow truck driver and the towing company he or she worked for.

I consider this to be theft...

This one time in high school (either 9th or 10th grade), my history teacher caught me playing with a Rubiks Cube and confiscated it. This did not sit well with me. He didn't give it back to me at the end of class and gave no hint as to when he would give it back, so before I left class to go to...

    Working a bar...

My parents didn’t know what it was when I told them I’d gotten the job!

I'm an aspie; Please help me help my aspie friend!

Yes and no... Right now he’s in school, and he volunteers at the local public school special ed department. He works at the culinary problem at the same county community college where takes classes, but only during the summer; Mom and dad still largely support him 100%.

    Working a bar...

Working at a bar is definitely not for everybody, whether they are ASD, NT, or otherwise... I didn't think it would be for me; Specifically, after the failures at Dunkin Donuts and the deli, I'd sworn off all food/service industry jobs forever. However, I helped out at Puck all the time from...
