Getting a job after a long gap.

Job hunting becomes a job of itself. Devote time to it and you will become good at it. Always speak positive of yourself, never say something negative. Review your history and find a positive spin to what you have done, where you have been, what you have learned. A network of people is best...

    Ever feel unattractive?

People tell me I am not unattractive, which I seemed to think in younger times. Anxiety and expression were my culprits for not quite catching on to the romance thing. I also seemed to have focused on getting somewhere or pursuing some activity. Sometimes maybe we get caught up in trying to...

    Clothes: What you can/can't stand

I do not wear wool, and living in the north need warmth. But I care for alpacas at neighbors who also weave and make clothes for sale. Alpaca fiber is the best and 6 times warmer than wool! It is very soft and does not scratch the skin like wool. But it cost money unless you have good neighbor...

A possible Aspie wonders about the downside of a diagnosis

I went thru my GP, kind of a safety catch, not knowing exactly who your getting. Difficult to find qualified practitioners, least wise where I come from. Good luck, I appreciated my diagnoses.

    change

I never married, now older, lack inititive to change. I regret that. Mostly because no family to fall back on, that offers support for the old days. I think western culture lives lots of fantasy, and some expect the grass to be greener on other side. No matter how difficult the present time...

Making a statement with question attached.

That sounds much like how I identify myself. I will check that out at library. (I only have iPhone) I have difficulty in verbal confrontation. Possibly because I am continuously trying to understand their side of argument. I tend to look for the truth of their argument and lose track my point...

Making a statement with question attached.

I do not know Kristen Steward. I always have a twist to conversations and seems people look at me quisically sometimes. Seems like NT's unable to grasp beyond their envelope, it is too bad for them, and not me, I think. But then what do I know, I am AS.

    Multiple Obsessive Interests - Motivation

Ditto, except getting older, poorer, and other things, such nothing seems to get done, unless life dependent. But I sure did what appears now to be some strange things, and costly too. Funny pages now.

How do I recognize autism related issues?

Hmm...a conundrum, are you asking what is NT or AS? I sometimes think the NT's live in a cruel world without tolerance, they can't see outside their own bubble. Where AS is looking inside the bubble from the outside making sure it all fits together.
