    Hi!

Hello, and welcome to AC! Enoy, good luck, and happy 2013. Also, for your inspiration, (you probably already knew) Alex Plank is a filmmaker with Asperger's. And his current masterpiece happens to be a documentary about autism.

    Personality Type (Myers-Briggs)

I thought it was placing the results on a scale where 0% is in the middle with opposite results on either side, i.e. it could probably have said 1% Perceiving and meant the same thing.

    A school aspies club

This is wonderful to read about! I've always been involved in special-interest groups at school, but something like that would have been a great opportunity; I wonder how successful it would be where I went to school. "I picked the wrong thing to be obsessed with!"

For a long time, I mostly kept my obsessions quiet. It was indeed frustrating. Now I talk about my psychology obsession at times. Half of my family is annoyed; the other half is entertained. I don't usually mention it at work (I'm afraid it could be offensive), although I think about it...

    What are your sensory issues?

I'm sensitive to sunlight; I almost always wear sunglasses outside. The one time I played in a pit orchestra, I didn't use my stand-light because it hurt. Sound/noise, especially when I am under other stress. Like a few days ago, I got my wisdom teeth out. I have had to wear earplugs ever...

The Figure of Speech That You Dislike The Most

"How are you", haha, I have an odd history with this one. I don't recall anyone ever asking me the question until I was in ninth grade, when it was my boyfriend asking, quite regularly. The response I ended up giving was similar to, "I don't know yet," or if it was later in the day, I would...

    Adhd

Mee. Aspies with executive function issues need to learn from the AD/HD communitites and vice versa. I feel like saying I have learned more effective self-management skills from the autism community than from ADHD writers (one reason is that I keep seeing a stereotype that they are all...
