I got into the books way back when they first came out - my 5th grade reading teacher read Sorcerer’s Stone aloud to our class if we had spare time at the end and I eventually asked my parents to get me my own copy. I haven’t read the books in ages (I think after Deathly Hallows came out)...

    Taken a few days ago. This is a cypress forest, so the nubs on the ground are cypress knees. Edit: to add more context, cypress trees only grow knees if they’re near or in water. I learned later from someone that these come from the forest being a floodplain.

    Yep! There’s a small park behind it. There’s a million straight on shots of it, so I was trying something different. Built in the 1930s and is locally called the ‘new’ State Capitol because we have an another, older Capitol also located in downtown BR.
