Do you listen to music in a different language?

I don't listen to a lot of pop that's in a different language, but I do listen to a lot of Classical and Early Music which is either not in English or is in a much earlier form of English. Probably the most common non-English languages of the music I listen to would be Medieval French, Latin...

    Potato poll.

I regularly eat baked potatoes. They're one food that is non-offensive to my sensory issues. I very much also like fries and chips!

    Seafood poll.

Despite living in a coastal state in New England, I do not like seafood. I have major sensory issues with food and seafood is a nightmare to me. lol

    The smell of ants

Oh yeah, I definitely can smell them. Unfortunately.

What Do You Love About Winter?

Winter is my favorite time of the year. I just find it soothing to me, like I'm most at peace during the time of the year. It's hard to describe. Some of it's practical - no severe storms, no insects outside flying in your face, etc. - but it goes beyond that for me.

    Arctic Blast in the USA

In the Northeast, the temperatures are about where they've been the rest of the winter, so no surprises here. My parents live in Oklahoma, though and I saw that yesterday afternoon their temperatures dropped into the single digits! Very cold for down there.

How much do you understand this math question?

😵‍💫 Ugh... Math. I've never been great at math. I, of course, did the obvious but wrong answer first but I do get it... Or I get it some of the time I think about it, other times I don't. D: lol

What did you like to watch growing up?

I watched a lot of the cartoons on Nick and Cartoon Network. I especially liked The Powerpuff Girls.

    Where do you live?

I'm in North America, in the state of Connecticut. It's a beautiful state. We have neat architecture (along with the rest of New England and some other parts of NE USA), great pizza, sandy beaches (although they are on the sound, so the waves aren't amazing. You don't have to go too far to get...

    Reasons to live?

Times are rough. My move to my new state has not been smooth. Getting a job has been and continues to be a horrible, drawn-out experience. But now doubtlessly even rougher times are ahead. And I can effectively consider myself a refugee from my old state now as it isn't safe to go back, period...

What, you think l am NT?

A friend of mine whose judgement I trust very much was surprised when I told her I was suspecting I may be autistic. In the end, she told me that my sensory issues with eating (which she's familiar with, with us having gone on trips together. >.< lol) was the only sign she saw. My friend has...

    Strangely, I bought a harp

Well, let me just say... I'm no stranger to impulsive musical instrument purchases myself. lol. Welcome to music! I've never played a harp before. I've always thought of those big ones they use in symphony orchestras - IIRC they cost a fortune. It's a pretty instrument, though!

Do you play a musical instrument?

I play the oboe and bassoon. Or at least I can. It's been a little while since I've really played (a year and a half), sadly. But once I'm settled up here in my new state I'd like to join a community ensemble and have already contacted some.

    Visual Snow Simulator

I have experienced this for many years now. I never had a word for it. I always called it "grainy", like light static on TV over the show.

    No rain

I've always been sensitive to heat and the bright sunshine, so I can relate! I do fine with indoor lights, but the sun is my limit, walking outside on a sunny day is miserable. I have to shield my eyes and I get irritable. We've had some rain here in southern New England. It actually rained...
