    Visual imagination skills.

My imagination has no limits; I actually have to control it or I'll cause myself intense mental, physical and/or emotional agony. I compare it to drifting down a stream or brook at high speed while looking straight up. I can feel the temperature of the air, see the tree limbs, branches, leaves...

    Visual imagination skills.

I can entertain myself with my mind and create ideas that are pretty good at times, I use it to write fiction, solve problems, etc. I'm curious to hear how well others can do this.

What Are Your Biggest Burdens and Gifts of Having Asperger's Syndrome?

Nikita, I'm interested in talking with you at length about what I think we have in common, mainly the issues with people below us on the mental totem pole. Granted I'm not a traditional genius, I'm more of the imaginative, artistic, creative variety. I say this because my abilities in those...

What Are Your Biggest Burdens and Gifts of Having Asperger's Syndrome?

What Are Your Biggest Burdens and Gifts of Having Asperger's Syndrome?

My biggest burdens are on the social side of life, specifically my shyness and inability to form lasting relationships with people. I'm also not entirely independent but I'm sure with time I'll manage. My pride and joy is my imagination. Its highly visual, flexible and detailed to a deeply...

    Lifelong aspie here

I remember the good, the bad and the random. Of cours It took me a week to work up the courage to take a small glance at all of your I'm trying! To set the record straight, I was abused as a kid. His justifications are even more pathetic than himself since the real reason he singled me out...

    Lifelong aspie here

I know its hereditary and that I've had it since heartbeat one. I was trying to emphasize the fact that my family always knew about it as a verifiable fact.

    Lifelong aspie here

I'm 26 years old and live in the forested paradise known as New England. I was diagnosed at age 2, which is incidentally where my earliest memories begin. I have an overwhelmingly complete long term memory that follows me around like a ball and chain strapped to my right leg. I'm gifted in the...
