Delightfully Disappointed by Famous $2k Headphones

With audiophilia there's a constant desire to want more from music. The audiophile isn't happy until they finally reach their "end game," or perfect setup. These are the people willing to pay $2000 for headphones. Luckily, I found my end game for $600 thanks to some price drops. My wallet is...

Delightfully Disappointed by Famous $2k Headphones

I'm sure Beats are better than they used to be. I can't hear for myself because all of the headphone demos at the big box stores like Best Buy have the noise cancelling features turned on.

Delightfully Disappointed by Famous $2k Headphones

I am an audiophile; I care about my audio during music listening sessions. Yesterday I got to visit the B&H superstore in New York City. There was a headphone demo station free to use. I brought my DAC/AMP combo for consistent comparisons. I tried the well respected $2,000 HD800s and HD820c. My...

Dealing with loneliness and depression while also being gay autistic and adhd

I'm gay too but despite accepting it, I don't like the idea of not being to reproduce. I think it's very weird. I am a big, wide, muscular athletic man and I see girls giving me good looks. I wish I could get a girl. I'm anything but depressed but sometimes I feel a bit lonely.

    Questions About Coding

Good choice. Python has many mature libraries for useful things. Remember to apply what you learn constantly. A lot of writing code is experience and it's very easy to get stuck in "tutorial hell" if you have a bad approach to learning.

    Hilariously silly internet slop

Things like this is one of the reasons why I like exploring foreign languages. A lot of things told about a foreign country are either wrong or exaggerated.

    screwy statistics

Haha I'm definitely going to bring up my grandparent's chances of survival to next time I see them. They like to joke about dark stuff.

Is a toaster oven worth it?

If you dedicate some time to becoming a skilled home chef, maybe your dad will be a lot easier on you. Good food makes people happy and the aroma of a delicious, tasty meal in the works is very powerful. Anyways, isolating yourself in a room more is not the solution in the long run! Assuming...

    Mixing / Mastering music

I don't think that's the case. Besides the Harman Target Curve, I have not noticed a specific pattern in frequency responses here in the headphone world I live in. Also, good audio has gotten A LOT cheaper and accessible over the past decade. When I started trying headphones 8 years ago, all big...
