He almost needed a feeding tube, however, and had to be in an incubator because he couldn't maintain his temperature. He got jaundice too, but my husband had it, I had it, and his brother had it, so it was kinda expected. He was 4lbs 12.5oz at birth.

Everything worked out well with my preemie. I was in labor off and on (in the hospital every week or so) since 24 weeks, and apparently when the pregnancy is difficult, the baby develops a little faster in order to have a better chance of survival if they're born early. They think that happened...

I feel for you. I've finally found people who accept me for who I am, even though I've got mental disorders and illnesses. People like that are certainly to be cherished. One of those people is like me: bipolar, autistic, ADHD.

That sounds horrible! I had an epidural, but it didn't affect either of my sons. I had one at 42 weeks, and one at 33 weeks. Both birthing experiences (though having a preemie was kinda scary) were wonderful experiences, episiotomy aside. And your post has made me very thankful for that.

    A Cure...?

I don't just have depression/anxiety... I have Bipolar Disorder Type 1. That being said, if I could cure my bipolar, I would. It's made my life a living hell, put me into debt, and put me at risk for many things like STDs (mania includes risky sexual behavior for me). I'm pleasantly medicated...

How many of you enjoy jigsaw puzzles?

I love puzzles. Especially the 3D ones. My mother found one at a garage sale when I was a kid, and I stayed up all night, listening to A Kind of Magic from the end of the first Highlander movie (literally playing the VHS over and over again) putting it together. I miss that puzzle.

    Can you scream?

I have nightmares where I'm in trouble but can't scream. I hate those. The one time I did scream in a dream was because I was overloaded with sound, and I woke up amazingly relieved. I haven't tried to scream, though, and am constantly terrified I couldn't do it if I tried. I don't feel secure...

    Is Autism Real?

How, then, would you account for the other symptoms? The sensory overload, the problems with socializing, not being able to meet others' eyes, the stereotypic behaviors, and in some cases, being non-verbal or having issues with speech?

Planning to Get a Job When I Turn 16 in a Couple of Months, Now Looking...

Don't cross small businesses off your list. Go around shopping centers and business areas to see any hiring signs in windows. Local hotels or inns might have positions open for cleaning staff as well.

    masturbation /self-regulation

I was masturbating at a young age, so my parents tell me. They just told me if I was going to do it, to move it into a private space like my room or the bathroom. But it wasn't something I did for pleasure, I would just absently touch myself. I had a high strong libido once my sex drive did kick...

advice for getting child to clean room

Keep up helping him clean, but do it ritualistically, and he's more likely to get it. Like, if he has clothes on the floor, have him pick up from the top of his body down... Hats, shirts, gloves, pants, socks, shoes. Then move on to toys by where they go. That sort of thing. Try to have him...

    NEW NOISE-BLOCKING BLUETOOTH EARBUDS!

I've got LG bluetooth earbuds that I listen to music on my phone with. I absolutely love them. I go for walks around the park with them and it dulls the sound of the swing when kids are on it. I always have issues with it because it squeaks in a way that I hate. I even have a playlist just for...
