  • Got an extra hour's sleep. Think it's time for some Cheap Trick at Budokan: The Complete Concert. 'Bout time Epic Records did the band right...too late to really help 'em, though.

Wow. Very impressed. Yellow and red, nice combo. I like the plane. I could pick up kilos of cocaine with it.

Mr. Stephens: the original was a US release in 1979 and the Budokan: The Complete Concert Was released in '98. Can you imagine how much more popular CT would've been if the complete concert was released first? Epic did CT no favors whatsoever throughout their career, throttling them the entire way.

Yeah, they really didn't help. Cheap Trick should have been bigger. Not quite punk, not quite classic rock, but could appeal to fans of both. Like, XTC or The Stranglers it seems no one knew how to market them.
The other site I hang out at just asked us this question: "What's your favorite movie quote?"

I couldn't pass it up. "KHAAAAAAAN!!!"

I have a new pulmonologist...her name is O.G. Wykoff, MD.

Pulmonary. Lungs. "Oh, gee, why cough?"

    Bad pun.
Makin' the 'ghetto' stroganoff gravy, getting juuuuust the right 'volatility' to it with Chardonnay...sipping the surplus. Worcestershire sauce helps; pieces-n-stems mushrooms, sour cream & broth-marinated meatballs on standby...getting close. Makin' it in bulk, for a week of suppers. Anyone else like doin' odd stuff like this?

Okay, I whipped up egg noodles and made dinner. This came out pret-ty good! Not what Gordon Ramsay would like (he and I were born hours apart)...he'd undoubtedly brand it as 'swill'...but hey! I made this swill! And I like it! So neener-neener to you, Gordo!

That sounds so good. Maybe l could make a vegetarian option using firm tofu?
    BobbiSueEllen
    BobbiSueEllen
I'd do it! Why not? Tofu is very healthy, very protein-laden, easy to cook with, takes on flavor...by Job, I do be-lieve you have some-thing!

Or you could get some TVP, hydrate & form it and make veggie meatballs...that's another thought.

So: bought egg noodles, brown gravy envelopes, frozen meatballs, sour cream, a tiny white-wine box, Worcestershire sauce and canned mushrooms. Think this is ghetto-enough beef stroganoff? You should see my Caesars salad.

Got the sour cream & mushrooms. Plus Idaho Spud bites, Planet Oat caramel creamer, decaf coffee...and five Hot Wheels: two DeLoreans, two '55 Chevy Gassers and one '82 Cadillac Seville sedan with the infamous, ill-fated "V8-6-4" engine. One DeLorean will be opened, the body removed, stripped of paint & polished.

One '55 Chevy will have its decals gently removed so as to look like the yellow '55 Gasser in The Hollywood Knights.

Oops, mon mal...that's a '57 Gasser in that flick. Personally, I'm hyper-partial to '56 Chevs, with '55s a close second. The '57 has enough fans.
Payday! Got notified, got up, fired up the PC, paid all my bills, including rent. Gonna get food later plus treat myself to poutine & a mocha. I turn a year older on Tuesday...and buy two AB dresses online then. Foggy outside, ugh. 'Tis the season...welcome to aut(is)umn!
Well, that was hair-raising! That jetliner was LOUD! Passed right overhead...couldn't see it, low-cloud & drizzly (Ding-Dong? Not for me!), made the hair on my neck stand up. That's scared...not as bad as that near-midair over 2 years ago, but still...agh.

I just reviewed FlightAware and discovered what happened: Boeing 737, either Alaska Airlines or Avelo Airlines. They both flew over within seconds, took both runways. Not sure which one did it.
7 am...still a tad dark outside...jets flying overhead to land...yep, must be Boise, where huckleberries, fry sauce & Faygo reign supreme...and the state bird is the potato. This is home.

Listening to Dvořák's "New World Symphony", trying to find the elements used in The Moody Blues' Days of Future Passed. And musing to myself how "Dvořák" sounds close to "divorce check". Alimony, anyone? *giggle*

But enough! A coupla pix of the annular eclipse I caught recently north of Winnemucca, NV. They're not small...they're fun-sized! ;)

Another Halloween! Living in a "holdout house" (or "nail house") assures there'll be no trick-or-treaters. More candy for me! Oh...and my costume...

Wow...this is my first time here! I have autism ("oddism"), this place looks like a good place to be....plus it has the same XenForo software as the other place I virtually live at! Looking forward to meeting more of y'all!
