How did you guys and gals deal with autism during teenage years?

I was royally screwed up in the head. That's what I remember. I was thankful for a robust German build of 6'2". That put a stop to the physical abuse I had to endure from my older sister. And it scared most bullies away. So I was free from that kind of thing. But I was still totally...

    Do you Really Have Friends???

I'm a piss poor friend. Mainly because I'm hiding so many things about my personality and past that I no longer see eye to eye with anyone. Currently, I have one friend. My partner. She knows everything about me and is still here. I think I can manage to be a true friend back to her, but...

    Do you forgive easily?

I forgive the individual. I NEVER forgive the crime. I'll hold a grudge against the transgression itself for years replaying it over and over in my mind. Sometimes I think I'll never be able to overcome my victim rumination problem. That's the primary reason I self medicate, to be free of...

    Do You Talk to Yourself?

I talk to myself all the time. Making sure none of the norms catch me takes up quite a bit of processing time in the ole noggin. One of the more disturbing things about my yakking problem is I do it while driving quite a bit. Sometimes I glance in the rear view mirror and see myself having a...

    Most Uncomfortable Moment

If that's your most uncomfortable moment, then I envy you ;D. Technical mental glitches happen to me all the time. I've lately adopted a "who cares" attitude to my glitches. I've had to. In a pinch...I would say any one of the many times I've gone off the rail with anger and frustration in...

    Do You Have Empathy?

I appear un-empathetic because I don't have the prototypical emotes written across my face. Also, too much emotion shuts me down. So I have a hard time acting on the information. But, you put me in front of a string pulling tear jerker and I'll cry with the best of them. IMO, that's...

Are animals and children attracted to you?

Children stare incessantly at me. I've never met an animal that didn't like me. I attribute that to a lack of instinctive fear. I can also tell aggressive/large dogs what to do. I issue a command and they obey like I'm dialed right into their brain. I'm guessing that it has something to do...

    Physical traits of Aspergers?

I have a very hard time paying attention to age. I don't actually know how old I am. I had to write down my partner's birthdate and I mentally have to calculate how old she is by that date. I don't really care if someone is too young or old. The whole "appropriate for your age" thing does...

Do you NOT believe in any form of God

Yeah. I tend to avoid anything that makes my grasp on reality any less tenuous. Gobs and gobs of good hard facts are what I dine on.

Do you NOT believe in any form of God

Not only do I NOT believe in any form of deity/supernatural power, I would say the evidence that we are unimaginably insignificant from the perspective of the universe is pretty overwhelming. That being said, I'm not completely devoid of personal hypothesis about possibilities like matter...

What is your one worst fear?

Probably my number one fear is that I'll suddenly find myself in an extreme anxiety situation and have an attack of trembling/shaking. It's not only terrifying to deal with, but it looks really bad as well.

What is your one worst fear?

My last ex-girlfriend had rabid bi-polar disorder (still has). Not only do I FEAR running into her...but she shows up at my house every two years or so when she's in the middle of another mania attack. So, my fear is justified.

Things that people do that really annoy you

Here's something silly...I went to that link you posted and I was immediately turned off by the triple repetition of the following paragraph: "When a child with autism copies the actions of an adult, he or she is likely to omit anything "silly" about what they've just seen. In contrast...

    Hello everyone

I'm 44 and currently a self-diagnosed aspie. I'm unraveling my bizarre life and coming to the realization that I've suffered with an un-diagnosed mental disorder. I'm looking to discuss some of the stranger side effects (drug addiction, sexual disorders, anger problems, failed relationships...
