Hopefully all will go well, I dont think either condition can be considered 'curable' even if there are improvements.

i'm being re tested for aspergers

They're silly to think in the space of a year asperger's would disappear, and not everyone with it has sensory issues. What is 'fetal alcohol syndrome'?

    Do Aspies like other Aspies

I've been to one of the NAS social groups and I've spent over a year with the intention of going again but never really getting round to it, but generally I tend to get stressed around people especially ones whom are talkative. I guess it doesnt really matter if they are NT or aspie.

    Anyone with ADD/ADHD as a co-morbid?

Just to update, the ritalin is helping alot with concentration and although its a 'stimulant' I do feel calmer through taking it. I dont think it has helped much with being autistic, if anything my asperger traits are a little more pronounced but its nice to be able to concentrate on my...

    Acceptance

The diagnosis of Aspergers didnt come as a surprise but I felt validated by it because for a long time I knew there was something wrong but just didnt know how to express it. The surprise for me was a diagnosis of inattentive type ADHD as a co-morbid, although the more I've learnt about it the...

Dom, I too have children, my son Caleb is nearly 6 and has a dx of moderate to severe autism and epilepsy, and my daughter Natalie is 2 and a half and has been referred for ASD...

    Anyone with ADD/ADHD as a co-morbid?

I am diagnosed with adult ADHD and Asperger's syndrome, and after seeing my psychiatrist today whom is a specialist in adult ASD/ADHD, I've been prescribed 'Ritalin' to help me concentrate which in turn can also reduce my anxiety levels, but I just read up about 'Ritalin' also called...

What does "...the view from both sides of the mirror" mean?

Gosh, I remember writing awhile ago about being on the spectrum as being like on the reflective side of a 2 way mirror where it would be difficult to see past one's own relfection while an NT would be on the other side and be able to see through the glass due to having 'theory of mind'.
