any one else ever think about just leaving?

[OTE="KassieMac, post: 127510, member: 10930"]I like some aspects, but getting off their grid is no reason to reject technology. Enough of us love technology, we can sustain our own separate grid. I like being the pale, pasty geek that lives online & rarely steps outside, why should I have to...

any one else ever think about just leaving?

Well, now I am curious. What would your vision of this community be? Mine is so simple, but admittedly imperfect. Basically just circa 1800's frontier type living, but with some of the improvements time has brought u. Like the better hunting equipment, solar panels to run some appliances...

Wow, it may be sounding like we might just need to form an AS colony now. ;)

any one else ever think about just leaving?

Well, as far as viable, I cant think of a way to do it solo eg; maintaining food supplies to allow a healthy body. I suppose it would take an entire family, or a small community. But its enjoyable to fantasize on. But I do know that Alaska still does a homestead program. And the state also...

any one else ever think about just leaving?

So, does anyone else ever think about just leaving the civilized world? Just moving out the wilderness to escape the mindless drone life that seems to be whats expected. I just done see ever getting any fulfilment from punching a time clock everyday, just to worry about weather or not the...

Nothing wrong with being vigilant. I'm with ya 100% my fire extinguisher isn't there because I expect a fire.

    Black powder cap-and-ball

[TE="nurseangela, post: 89583, member: 3011"]I'll take one of each of those! I had been looking into a shotgun with a pistol grip (a Mossberg 500 Chainsaw) and that model has a "handle" on top. Would a pistol grip have as good control for a woman? I was afraid a regular shotgun would throw my...

    Black powder cap-and-ball

Thinkin that cap n ball and muzzle loaders are more of a pastimes item. Not too practical for modern tactical situations.

    Black powder cap-and-ball

Yep, lots of fun. I picked up a walker a few months ago. Load up the full 60 grains and it is a monster. Also working up some black powder loads for my 45/70. 550 grain bullets.

gotta push this question out there.

Good points. Being mad about something over 20 years ago, that i cant even remember myself wont get anything done. So, for curiosity, are there any ideas on what causes it? I have read that it is genetic. But is it a bio-chemistry abnormality, a structural abnormality? And is it a defect...

gotta push this question out there.

27 years old. I guess I'm fairing ok. Until now the only time I've even heard about aspergers was an episode of southpark. Maybe going out on a limb here, but I doubt it was a good source of information. But looking into it some, it does explain a lot of what I do.

gotta push this question out there.

Ok, I mom was talking to me a few days ago. She told me that when i was 2 the doctor wanted to do a aspergers test. Her and my dad refused because I already was showing signs of it. They say they refused the test because they didn't want me labeled. So, growing up, they insisted that I fit in...
