Henry J at the saloon

The table top this is sitting on is a work of art. It was a rough sawed board from a partially rotted tree that was hand planed then sanded to an extremely fine finish, then wet sanded with linseed oil to 1600 grit. The tabletop is finished with linseed oil and is about 3 inches thick,18 inches wide and over 7 feet long, still retaining the shape of the log it was cut from. My braggin' rights are that it is smooth enough to lay a newborn on. There are two rounded and smoothed glass covers that go over the rotted holes to allow drinks on it.
I have already engineered the leg assemblies and have more of the same wood to finish it this winter.
