More sharp mountains

I only just now saw that you'd put the words " more sharp mountains " with this. Before I saw the words I supposed this was waves that had frozen. Sharp glass-like waves.

Is this on a black canvas that was purchased black?
Or did you darken it yourself?
And if you did, was it paint? Or black gesso?

I only in the past week ascertained that there is colored gesso.
I only used white, when I was in school and we had to stretch and
      prepare our own canvases.

I used free flow acrylic black paint for the background. I do have black canvases but they have a flat appearance.

I didn’t know that black canvases even existed! I’ve only seen beige and white ones in the shops from what I can remember. Cool.

I love the sense of movement in this painting, it feels like it is dancing in the light of the moon.
