A state within my mind
Biases set aside
to understand the other side
peaceful revolution everyday
with new perspectives showing us the way
republican, democrat, liberal, conservative,
political parties shown the door,
we don?t need them anymore.
We party with 300 million plus,
we celebrate our independance
Free to live, free to speak,
Free to love, free to seek,
Free to know, free to think.
Free to be.
We parade our diversity in the streets
Fly banners side by side,
in our skin, words, hearts and deeds.
Power isn?t in the promises we don?t trust
The new regime is hope.
