New Literary Magazine devoted to Aspergers, Autism, and Developmental Disabilities.

Spectrum Magazine was launched in 2013 by Mercedes Lucero and founded on the belief that everyone has the ability to bring something lovely into the world. We are an online art and literary magazine by, for, and about those with autism and developmental disabilities. We are committed to fostering an understanding and growth through art and literature and aim to provide a home for all experiences associated with autism and developmental disabilities.

We are excited to announce we are open for submissions for our inaugural issue forthcoming in 2014. We are looking for fiction, poetry, essays, art, photography by, for, or about those we love with autism or developmental disabilities. To find out more of what we're looking for, please click the link to our submission page.

Spectrum Magazine is interested in submissions relating to or concerning experiences associated with autism and developmental disabilities. We want to showcase it all. The difficulties and heartaches. The triumphs and joys. The delicate moments that surprise and inspire us.

*We are looking for more prose submissions. Please consider submitting to us HERE.

Hello. I'm a psychoanalyst who works with infants, children, teens, adults who are neurotypical and have special needs. I'd like to subscribe to your magazine. I'm writing a book, PARENTAL INTELLIGENCE: Finding Meaning in Your Child's Behavior. I have a chapter about a loving family with a stay-at-home father and working mother who have 3 sons, the youngest is a four-year-old diagnosed with Aspergers. I'd like some adults with Aspergers who might remember those years and parents of children with Aspergers to read it for me and give me feedback.
Could I put a notice in your magazine about this, so I get some replies? I'm having some trouble finding people to help me. Thank you for whatever you can do.
I'm glad to give you contact information and any other details about me you may want. My website is Home - Laurie Hollman, Ph.D. and my blog is lauriehollmanphd.com/blog where you can learn about me.

Regards and best of luck with your amazing new literary venture.
Laurie Hollman, Ph.D.
