I am the worst at promoting any of the creative projects that I do or have been a part of. I don't handle praise or accolades well. There are awards I've won for writing, film and music that I just never showed up to get and still haven't asked for. I've turned down being more popular and/or famous since about 2009. I turned down a reality show seven years in a row. I did have an agent who tried and dealt with my ways from about 1999 to 2007 and did their best to push me in whatever directions, but it's just not me. I just don't handle any of what makes creative professionals become well known. I am basically, simply one who creates, I do like to profit so that I can afford to create more or better, I do like knowing that people are entertained, enjoy it, are happy, but I don't have a desire for the rest of it or social aspects at all. In the times that I did publicly have to accept heated criticisms, I dealt with it. I can understand if someone hates or just doesn't care about it. So, it's not that part that is scary or a bother. It's seriously the having to be so social, personal and meet all of these expectations in person that people would have and want of me. In short, spotlight notoriety makes me cringe. I have a ton of respect for any of you who can handle it, though. Always be proud of yourselves for that huge accomplishment.
All of that rambling said, though, here's me walking the plank, so to speak - I stepped back heavily into my roots of music and songwriting, and I have an album to share. Some may like it. Some may say, "meh." All is just fine. It's way more about making this effort to even put it out there. The band name is, Stationals. The album is streaming on bandcamp and soundcloud so far, only.
