Going Toward the Golden Years

Blog details

In my work, elders invite me into their homes, their kitchens, and sometimes even their refrigerators. These tiny glimpses into many different lives are so fascinating and it is a gift for them to trust me in this way.

The following are completely fictional stories based on some of these glimpses and some of the wisdom that has been shared with me by the elderly. All stories are told in the spirit of respect and humor, honoring the lives of all of those who have lived a very long time.

Disclaimer: I need to practice just going for it and not getting so hung up on certain things… good grammar has gone out of the window first. Please don’t judge me too harshly for my very casual style here.
