My Intro

Hi, Quick introduction. I suspect I have aspergers but only became aware when I found out about it by using mobile internet. I find I strongly identify with some of the main symptoms such as a feeling of being ignored and left out by groups of friends or not belonging. Had those feelings since early schooldays. Also very occupied by interests which I now realise I talk about all the time and probably bore people - the latest is electrical and electronics. Motor skills also possibly not quite 100 per cent. Many people assume I'm slow, and at school it was far worse. I failed all school exams but am now strong academically.
The only symptom I'm not sure about are strong senses such as touch and noise, although noise at night does irritate me. For example, wind knocking something and I'll get out of bed to try and stop it.
I'm about to get automatically logged off so will continue this post but am really anxious to find out more as it feels as if the parts of a jigsaw are slowly coming together. I hope I do have it in a way as it will finally help me make sense of years of difficulties.

Congratulations. You just won yourself an AC welcome banner:

Welcome to AC...we're a great group of people. Have fun here... there are a lot of people here of varying status' in terms of diagnosis. Its nice to meet you!

To begin with I will be asking for information. I'm still not absolutely sure I have aspergers so will be careful not to jump to conclusions too fast.
However, let me say for now I do have a great sense of humour (most of the time) and am always quite busy with my interests.
Problem is although I have a very small circle of really terrific friends, people in general find me kind of odd. Sooo, I've been asking in indirect ways for them to tell me the reasons why they find me odd. Only recently. Some laugh a bit and good naturedly state I tend to not look at them or engage when talking or apparently have paced around and even turned my back (still chatting).
I found out about aspergers when I typed in "alienated" and "ignored" in the search engine. I then found a site about aspergers and pretty much all the questions asked were dead hits. That is, I strongly identified with all of them, except the sensitivity to touch (that I did have as a kid but not now as an adult).
Out of time again but I hope you folks can give me some info over time. By the way, I'm into boats and all stuff marine.
