Well said.

Is there anything you can replace that with, some other activity you can do instead of reading that when the urge comes up?

Watching the news makes me feel like buying a Desert Eagle and a bottle of bourbon to use on myself if my country goes to hell. Idiocracy is here and happening today. I should just go offline for a while.

There's something a very wise person taught me, when I was feeling like that: "Dont just accept what you hear. If you want to really know, get out there and explore for yourself. Brand new places, brand new experiences. You might find beauty where you never thought you could. But it's up to you to seek it out."

And there's a second line that goes with it, from... some show or other: "You'll find that if you seek the light, you can often find it. But if you look for darkness, that is all you'll ever see." Just something to think about. I hope your mood gets better soon.
