No problem. I didn't realize it was an actual secret. German was my second language. While in the Air Force, I took two weeks of leave to ride the trains around Germany, Switzerland, and Austria, speaking nothing but German. People I talked to didn't believe I was American because I spoke with an Austrian accent (my highschool teacher was from Austria)

Dann bist du wahrscheinlich ziemlich gut darin. ^^

(Its funny, I understand and can speak german, but when I talk in my first language they hardly understand anything.)
So, you also undestand austrian, I guess.
Thats sooo cool.

Do I remember it right, you like languages?

Yeah, I have found languages fascinating. My fluent languages are English, German, and American Sign Language. I am learning Cherokee but it is slow going. Cherokee is very different from the European languages. And of course I invented the Unawinald language for my book.

Yeah. Your book.
Im reading it currently. (No, I dont tell you yet how far I am.)
The pronunciations reminded me of german letters.

Cool! I never thought about putting it in different languages. I try to keep my writing simple, so you shouldn't have much trouble I don't think

I use two pen names. Van G James and Greyeagle Thornton. Greyeagle is the translation of my Cherokee name, and Thornton is my actual family name.

I have Cherokee heritage on my father's side. I belong to the Overhill Cherokee . I maintain that website. The actual name written in the roman alphabet is Vsgola Sakonaki Awohali. The V is pronounced as a nasalized "ung" sound. Grey Eagle is easier to say.
