That's pretty cool really--What is the amplifier; is it a transistor one or valves/tubes, and did you build it yourself or is it one you found?

It's a 1980s vintage solid state Trio(Kenwood) amplifier. It used to be my uncle's but he wanted something more integrated, so he has a micro system now. My speakers used to be my dad's and his dad's before that! My HiFi is hand-me-down but would cost a lot on eBay these days! I used to have an awesome Trio K3000 amp (pretty sure that's what it was) but it went bang before I had the skills to repair it sadly.
