Annoying!!

In a quiet, semi-rural neighborhood now, I hear people cough across the street and it drives me nuts. But when I lived in Boston, I spent several years in the hospital district and somehow got acclimated to ambulances in the night.

Maybe all the sounds of the city would mix together like white noise, instead of having a hyena on your porch in the quiet night.

Yeah, I think that’s what it is. It’s so dead silent here at night that any little man-made noise is incredibly disruptive.
