Thunderstorms are set to hit us tonight after coming across lake Michigan with nothing to slow them down.

I admit to liking a good storm but where I am we never get them. All we normally get is a few distant flashes and the odd rumble. I suppose some would consider this lucky though we have taken a direct hit to the TV aerial before. Pieces of the plastic connector cover were found fifty feet away.

Everybody stay safe. My neighbors worry about thugs on their feet looking for Kias, or handguns that people carry in this state then leave in their car with their wallets.

@Luca , Didn't see the lightning hit it. I was laid in bed listening to the radio and there was an almighty bang and the power went off. Deceased electronics included 3 TVs, alarm system, PC steering wheel, 1 PC, 2 DVD players, 1 VHS player, broadband router and phone.
