I gave up trying to compete with others a really long time ago. Being yourself seems to be the way forward. To hell with the critics!

I don’t try to compete with them at all. Maybe they’re jealous that I’m confident being myself lol

It’s just insecurity, morphed into competition. Don’t sweat it. All gals aren’t like that. Look for confidence that grows from within.

As unsatisfactory as the people you call friends seem to be,
it gives me the impression that you are overly generous in
optimistically calling them 'friends.'

Yes, l so get this. I have suffered backlash from young woman at jobs, and l am dumbfounded. I mean really? I don't date, l just worked and went straight home and l was hated because l made great tips. It was a new career . My last job, my co-worker said l was seeing her husband, but first she accused me of being a service worker, (not restaurant). Then she switched to l was seeing her husband.

Sounds like more people to cross off your list of toxic people you don't need in your social orbit.

Yeah these dont really sound like friends to me. Someone who is only using you to boost themselves up really isnt good friendship material.

Misery loves company. It sounds like they're trying to drag you down to make themselves feel superficially superior - like making yourself taller by stepping on an anthill.
