You're not going to like having to sneak into the bathroom.
As someone who has used old army rations on camping trips--This is A Bad Idea.
See about a small electric kettle to heat water & use soup mix, ramen, etc., from the store. Less of a hassle, safer, less packaging to have to haul out of your room.

Do you have a good army/navy store near you? MREs are usually pretty expensive.

Have you considered shopping for cheaper survival food and having some DIY MREs?

  • Canned goods
  • Rice (can be pre-cooked)
  • Pasta
  • Peanut Butter
  • Cereal
  • Spaghetti sauce
  • Shelf-stable milk
  • Oatmeal
  • Ramen

There is one other thing about MRE's, they require water to operate the heater that is in there--and you can't drink the heater water either.
They are somewhat sketchy to use.
The best thing for your situation is medical treatment & escaping that house.
