Beautiful; they are native to my area and I saw a Boykin last weekend in North Carolina. Does your new spaniel have the full tail? I've never seen a Boykin that didn't have a docked tail; something something "standards." A bit daft. Not everyone who owns them goes hunting. They are genuinely nice dogs--You're gonna have fun!

@Gerontius She has a 3 quarter tail, like an English cocker spaniel.

I didn’t like her original name so I’m going to name her Madison.
