Shingles isn't so bad, and much worse for men than women. Don't worry, it will pass again fairly quickly.

I had to google it, not familiar with that. I thought shingles was something people use on roofs. But I learned now that the Norwegian word for it is "Helvetesild". That actually means "Hell Fire". Sounds pretty bad. "Guys, I have hell fire...". :fearscream: I hope you feel better soon.

Maybe, that is also part of why you were feeling so down. Run down by this illness, and that would make emotions harder to deal with as well. Time for rest and recuperation and as much self-care as possible. Here for you.

I hope it's not shingles. Something I had about four years ago. But then I had the chicken pox as a youngster back in the early 60s.

But I've always thought it's a localized thing...confined to only certain areas of the body.

I also had chicken pox when I was young, shingles is a reiteration of the same illness. Both versions of the disease are extremely nasty for an adult male, but I didn't really suffer all that badly compared to some.

They say otitis is the same, immunity can last a long time if you had it in childhood, or a vaccine. Otitis is extreme in older people, very uncomfortable, kids dont suffer as much.
