We have had very weird weather this year. In December 2022, we had 5 consecutive days and nights of below freezing temperatures. All my azaleas, sage, rosemary. persimmon tree, and some other plants I've had for decades died. After the big freeze, the plants and trees started leafing out as if it were spring, and then once again died due to a March freeze.

Yeah, we had a day that high in temperature. Caught me by surprise too, though the temps are reversing themselves again, forcing me to put on more clothes and turn the heat back on. Oh well....summer will be here soon enough! Not expecting any further snow though.

I covered my plants twice this year, but they weren't as delicate as @Mary Terry . Sorry for your loss. I grieve over my plants. I get attached to all living things.
