I live several miles outside of the city, but the airport is directly across the harbor from me and I basically live on the water. So I'm on the flight path of basically any aircraft that is on its way to the city. Sometimes noisy, and sometimes scary.

I grew up close to a small airport, directly under a flight path. At age 10 we got told off by police for shooting planes with an air rifle. Fair enough, but as an adult looking back I reckon if you can hit it with an air rifle it's flying too low.
