Okay, the external cam works, but this was my face while I was trying to figure it out lol
An absolutely disgraceful picture of me taken mostly by accident, but sometimes my facial expressions say it better than my words do

I haven't played with Windows in many years and can't remember it too well, does the internal camera show up in the list of imaging devices in your control panel? It may just be turned off, disabled.

I tried that, I also tried disabling it and enabling it again, but nothing happened. So now I'm on my desktop computer anyway because the video was glitchy on my laptop. Which leads me to the conclusion that the issue is with the laptop itself, not the webcam.
