Now you see, you might be correct @maycontainthunder as that looks like a Toyota and this car is a Prius. I'm starting to think you may have found the culprit. He appears to be working a spanner on some sort of hose, which would definitely indicate the level of skill! :smilecat: I'm about to work on the final brake today and assume there will be lots of hammering involved!

It does assume that the clown is able to comprehend which type of spanner is needed for the task. To ensure maximum confusion all four main systems should be placed together. This means BA, Metric, AF and Whitworth all in the same drawer and well mixed up. Oh, and the tool cabinet as far away as possible to be certain of maximum irritation when the wrong one is chosen! :smilingimp:

@maycontainthunder Indeed! I've just put the last disc and pads on. I had to get rather violent with a hammer to remove the disc but I have now expelled all traces of copper slip. "I'll get my hammer" is not a phrase you want to hear when you ask to have your brakes fixed! Lol! I may need to adjust the parking brake but we shall see :)

Well, there is the old rule of 'if at first you don't succeed try a bigger hammer'! It often takes a great deal of effort to shift stubborn bolts. One car I helped work on needed no less than five special tools, including the puller, to get the hub off to access the brake shoes. The rear took seven tools. Hiding back there were two sets of brake shoes per side. I was so happy the shoes were OK!

I hate complexity for complexity's sake! This car is very common sense so far. Not much different to my 35 year old Nissan. This is the thing I like about Japanese cars, they rarely make things more difficult than they need to be. If it weren't for the copper slip this work would have been done in a couple of hours easily!

Arghh. This is why I prefer the old stuff. When you open the bonnet you can get to everything without taking a ton of covers off!
