Very nice. But there is also likely to be a well, find it so that you know where it is. They're quite dangerous.

Good point. Maybe the city has the specs for the property and who owned it. Some states have squatter rights for abandoned property, but you need an attorney to file for the rights. It's called adverse possession claim, where abandoned property gets claimed and you file this claim, which of course includes property taxes.
