Health problems seriously do this, and I can vouch for the same. I think it's sad that most people don't realize that metabolism is a complex process involving genetics and all sorts of other factors, and we're not all starting out with the same stats as one another.

From the pictures you have posted of yourself you don't look overweight to me. If they need an example of someone who eats too much and takes zero exercise they can point at me. No idea what I weigh but the scales scream when I stand on them!
