That is a sad thing. Hopefully you are ok and the friend gets some help or can't hurt anyone.

It is. This person has turned other friends against me just for being critical of their behavior. Has lied to others and completely twisted what I said to make themselves look good ("she's just insecure or jealous of me"). Unfortunately this person lacks the self awareness in order to get help therefore I am forced to keep a distance while they continue...
