Change your legal name to Ms Anne Thrope. That will show your parents!

I thought that you said your real name means "old lady." Priscilla means the same thing.

It means more like "old hag." It's a ruder way to say "old lady."

Is there a secret meaning to the name "Holden Commodore"?
Are those the kid's first and middle names?
I am not getting the idea.
Is it just that in his case the middle name, if that's what it is, is unusual?
Or what?

Luca
A Holden Commodore is a type of car sold in Australia.

ohhhhhh.
I know a girl named 'Nova'.
Her dad said that if anybody figured that was about a car, that
was their problem. She was named nova, like a star, a bright occurrence,
a new thing.

Huh. Holden Commodore.
Didn't know that was a car.
Maybe the kid will like the name.
Maybe he'll hate it and leave the country when he's old enough.

I like the name Nova. I don't think it's that embarrassing. My first thought was definitely not the car. I have known people (and dogs) named Nova. I have known people named Holden too, just not "Holden Commodore."

The reason I think naming a kid Holden Commodore would be embarrassing for the kid is that it would also be embarrassing to have a name like Cumberland Farms or Captain Morgan. The kids would always get made fun of because their names would be immediately associated with the companies.

A friend of mine named her daughter Aurora, when I heard that I said "oh, so you named her after the northern lights, Aurora Borealis, that's nice". She had no idea what I was talking about. :) She was lucky with that one, it's a good name.
