I also write a lot, and I find it very therapeutic. I never saw the point in writing a diary, I have an eidetic memory, and I simply never had the imagination for writing stories, so instead I write letters. See a story on the news that upsets me I write a letter about it, although I don't often send the letters. Writing them helps me to sort things out in my own head. Sometimes I get angry and I do send the letter.

I'm so good at writing I can look at four things in front of me and turn it into a writing prompt.

I have kept a diary from time to time, but I’m not very consistent in writing and once I’ve missed a day or two I just stop. Especially because I’m not good at short summaries of my day, so each entry takes a while ;)

I’m writing short stories now, across different genres. I have several unfinished stories I’m working on. Each genre is an outlet of sorts, so I’m just seeing where the mood takes me every day ;)

@Outdated I'm similar. I actually used to write great stories when I was a child, and have also written out some poems, but I simply don't have the discipline to write a book or even a short story (and I'm too fragile to handle criticism well). Writing here or on other social sites gives me an outlet for self-expression, even if it's mostly just stating my opinion.
